The Unique Way... In Which Muftiah... Meets Farlan's Many Relatives... In The Deep South...!

During the unpleasantness... with the Denver SUBUD Group... Farlan and Muftiah... took a short vacation... down to Southern Alabama... for a few weeks... where Farlan was reunited... with his mother... and stepfather... who was a Methodist minister...!

And the way Muftiah... met a number... of his aunts and uncles... was by walking in on them... while his Aunt Bessie... was sitting... at her organ... playing a hymn... and Joyously singing... with everybody happily singing along... with her...

And the most natural thing... in the world... was for Muftiah... to simply join in... which she did... delightfully happy... to be singing Praises... to her beloved Heavenly Father... once again... her ringing... operatic soprano voice... blending beautifully with theirs...!

And when they had all finished singing... Muftiah felt... as if she had known them... all her life... and that they were just about the nicest... friendliest people... she had ever met...!

And she was immediately taken... to their hearts... with not even her marked foreign accent... phasing these good country folk... one little bit... many of whom... had been in the military service... posted overseas... on army... and air force bases... such as in Germany... the Philippines... Japan... and even in Korea...!

They all had a wonderful... carefree time together... and Muftiah heard all about how cute... little "Dougie"... Christened Douglas Hampton ... after the great General MacArthur... was... as a baby... being the youngest... loved and coddled... by all his many aunts and uncles...!

While his divorced mother... becoming the very first woman... in Alabama... to divorce her husband... struggled on her own... to feed and clothe... her three small children... with no financial support... whatsoever... from their philandering... womanizing... charismatic father... who had an equal passion for God... and for women... burning in his chest...and who... even on their very wedding night... had already been unfaithful to her...!

Hearing about Farlan's impoverished childhood... made Muftiah understand him... much better...

In observing how singularly happy... and Light in Spirit... Farlan's relatives seemed to be... it occurred to her... that they were all... by and large... benefiting from Farlan's and his mother's Latihans... without going through... their own heavy Purification... which Inner Essence... he often felt... over the years... as a great burden... as Almighty God... Slowly Purified his bloodline... through his Latihan Kejiwaans...!

All of the Inner Selves... of Farlan's uncles and aunts... subsequently became joyously "Opened..." ... and "Awakened..." ... into the Miracle of SUBUD... through their nephew Farlan... and Muftiah... shortly before passing over... into the Glory of their Afterlives... during Farlan and Muftiah's second.. and third... more permanent trips... down South...!

Including Farlan's jolly stepmother... Mabel... who lived for another five years... before... looking ten years younger... with God Having Transformed her... from looking like a hefty... beefy-armed... farm woman... and Making her Blossom... into a lovely... seventy-five pounds lighter... slender lady... without having dieted... "died happily laughing"... as she prophetically told Muftiah... that she would...!

And her joyous... instant passing... from this earth... happened... in a car accident... right here in Grand Bay... at the crossroads... of their corner property... with her husband.. Wilbur... driving... and smashing his car... into a tree... while regaling his wife with stories... that were makng her laugh hysterically...!

Which leaves Farlan's last Aunt Eunice... nicknamed Aunt Blackie... and younger cousin... Janet... both very cleverly brainy... and nice ladies... with Eunice too nervous... to stand still... long enough... to get her Inner self "Opened..." and "Awakened..." ... to Receive Contact... with The Great Holy Life Force of Almighty God...!

And independent Janet... averse... to being told... when she is supposed to worship God... in the Latihan Kejiwaan of SUBUD... namely twice a week... for only half an hour... each time...!

Tasting delicious Southern specialties... for the very first time... such as Southern Fried Chicken... Catfish... and Bay Shrimp Gumbo... and happily singing hymns... picnicking on the Pascagoula River... in front of his lovely Aunt Woody... and her new husband's fairytale house... built on stilts... were the highlights... of their two short stays... with Farlan's many relatives...

One night... shortly before Muftiah... brought Auntie Woody into SUBUD... after her heart attack... "Opening" her in hospital... and with her becoming instantly cured... she appeared to her... in a dream... and told her... that she would follow... wherever she led her... because she knew... that she would lead her... straight back to God...!

Farlan and Muftiah returned to Denver... after their first short trip... staying with Farlan's mother... Jasie... and Methodist Minister stepfather... John... in their house... in Mississippi...

Farlan was doing very well for himself... in business... becoming an Electrical & General Contractor... having Received... that his enterprise... should be called "Mufar"... finishing the basements... of newly bought houses... remodeling them into dens... and game rooms... for their owners...

And it wasn't long... before they were getting Inner Urges... to own their own property... In fact... with each month... that Muftiah paid the rent... for their lovely penthouse apartment... with its sky roof... she would increasingly feel... that she was throwing money away...!

Even though she loved her home... spending hours... sunning herself happily... on their balcony... with a lovely view... of the Rocky Mountains... in the distance... while constantly Receiving... the Heavenly Reminder... of...:

"Time Now... For Muftiah... To Make Muftiah Happy...!"

It had taken her a long time... to learn... how to make only herself happy... without feeling guilty... because she had been very well trained... to be only useful to others... being told repeatedly... by Papa Rau... that that was the only worth she had... in the world... since she was such a brainless "dumb cluck..."!

Then the Joyous day came... when they heard... the wonderful news... that their Beloved Spiritual SUBUD Father... Bapak... would be coming to the United States... the following month... on his World Tour...!

So... for the very first time... in their marriage... they Were Allowed... to save some money... for the trip... and went by car... first to San Francisco... to see Bapak... and then on to Vancouver... Canada... where they were exceedingly Blessed... to be in his Holy Presence... once again... where he tested all his SUBUD children's Spiritual Progress... and Development...!
