Because the lady agent... anxious to leave... was annoyed... at the arrival of such a late customer...

And she missed the fact... that she was looking... at a Dutch Passport... obtained through Grazia's ex husband René...

Which would have necessitated... her demanding payment... for a ticket... beyond the United States... to a Dutch country... the nearest being Aruba... a Dutch island... in the Caribbean... for which Laura... did not have... the extra money for..!

And she was sold... an affordable airline ticket... direct to Miami... via Barbados... where she and Mark... had originally applied... for Entry Visas... into the United States... where now... her official papers... and Entry Visa... were waiting for her... according to Ruth's letter...!
